I've always been a great advocate of Stafford (sorry, County) hospital, so I especially wanted to leave this review for them. I've recently been seen at their Colposcopy suite - and the team of nurses, headed up by Sister Sutton are absolutely outstanding. I couldn't have received better care from the team if I'd have paid to go private. I was extremely anxious, and they completely understood, and made sure that I was fully informed of what was going on, and in control. They were brilliant. The unit was clean (in fact, theatre style clean!! Believe me when I say that, I'm a Nurse myself), and their pre and post procedure care was second to none. I've been a patient in A&E before too - at the height of their issues - I have to say again, I couldn't have asked for better care for my dislocated knee. Just amazing. At the heart of all of the chaos is a team of dedicated, highly skilled professionals. We owe our NHS so much.

After all the bad press I was worried about having my operation at County. I was told by doctors that it was probably one of the safest hospitals at the moment. I had my surgery and was in hospital for 3 days. The staff were 1st class and always checking on me. The cleanliness was the same with the cleaner constantly coming round. Shame it will no longer be carrying out operations.

Had a great service this evening when my baby son was assessed in a&e and the children's ward. Dealt with timely and more moor tangly the staff were competent, quick, kind, courtesy and knowledgable.
